• Welcome to "Mandurahs's Home of Irish Hospitality". As Mandurah blossoms and grows, we are the place where local residents and business people can come to relax. Our cozy, inviting atmosphere is the ideal place to sit back and enjoy a pint with an authentic hearty meal or just enjoy a drink with family or friends. Friars is a 100 seater restaurant with both dining inside and out in a huge alfresco garden front and back. We accept all major credit and debit cards, including American Express, Visa and Mastercards.

  • History

Friar's is a Traditional Irish Family Bar/Restaurant, designed by Ray & Michelle O'Hanrachan from Ireland in early 2006. Named after the famous Irish monk (well his grandfather was Irish) our Restaurant & Bar offers fast and friendly service. Conveniently located on the Old Coast Road heading South from Mandurah, we have a parking space waiting just for you (including bus parking). We are the ideal place to come and enjoy a meal and a pint, or to entertain your guests with a lovely meal and drinks. The restaurant interior is rich in history and culture with plenty to see.

  • Once inside, you will be transported away, to a charming and inviting Irish family setting. Whether you and your work mates join us for drinks, or maybe you're gathering the family for a hearty meal, we have everything ready to make your visit a special one. Come and enjoy the warmth from our fireplace during winter, or enjoy the cool breezes from our aircon in summer while sipping on an ice cold Guinness. Good times (craic) awaits you at Friar Tuck's, where you can eat, drink and be merry! Sláinte!!

  • Irish Philosophy

There are only two things to worry about
either you are well or you are sick.
    If you are well,
then there is nothing to worry about.
    If you are sick,
there are two things to worry about.
Either you will get well or you will die.
    If you get well,
there is nothing to worry about.
    If you die,
there are two things to worry about.
Either you will go to heaven or hell.
    If you go to heaven,
there is nothing to worry about.
But if you go to hell,
you’ll be so busy shaking hands with your friends you won’t have time to WORRY!!

  • The Mouse on the Bar Room Floor

Some Guinness was spilled on the
bar room floor when the pub was shut for the night.
Out of his hole crept a wee brown mouse
and stood in the pale moonlight.
He lapped up the frothy brew from the floor,
then back on his haunches he sat,
and all night long you could hear him roar
    “bring on the goddamn cat”.
